The US is tops in many things. That’s why we’re looked up to by other nations. But one top position that we can surely do without is our incarceration rate. Greater than 1 % of American adults are under lock-up, that’s more than 2 million people, outnumbering countries with far larger population like China and India. That’s not even including ex-inmates and those incoming ones. Based on statistics, a good number of these people will return to their old ways and continue to pose as societal threat when they get out.

Public due diligence to address the problem have been deployed wherever possible and feasible. But with the danger at the scale that it is now, we cannot be too careful about it. Fortunately for us, the government is upfront and transparent in regard to this ill. Just as well, because we are also transparent by way of the Law in public information access. Yes, one good measure we can adopt in going about our lives with our eyes open for bad company is through Police Records.

Police are known to be excellent record keepers. Every interaction with the police will trigger the generation of a Free Police Records that goes on official record. It can be anything from armed robbery to traffic violation, gun permit to address change and so forth, they have it all on file. They are hence very useful in providing information about someone especially if they are a threat to other people.

Police records are public records and they are available free of charge from respective police departments. Free Public Police Records can be requested by mail, telephone, fax, in person or even online. Although they are technically public records, they can contain sensitive and private information and as such become restrictive in its access and use. While it can serve people well, these folks are well-advised to ascertain its permissibility with professionals or authorities as they can vary from one jurisdiction to another.

With the cold winter season coming up we’re all bound to miss the warm days of summer. No longer will we be able to do anything or go anywhere just be slipping on a pair of sandals. When we brave the cold, we’ll have to bundle up in our coats, scarves, mittens, hats, and boots. Things are much more difficult. Not to mention there are a lot of places we just plain can’t go during the winter, like beaches and amusement parks.

In fact, amusement parks are a big part of the summer experience, and they are lots of fun. Some people are thrill seekers, and are there for the rides. They are happy waiting in lines all day for the big roller coaster. Others are there for the boardwalk and the games contained within. Those people are easy to spot, dragging around giant stuffed animals as their prizes. You know that there is no way they are able to take those massive prizes along on the rides, and they certainly won’t fit in any locker available at the park. To them, the prizes, and the road to the prize, are much more fun than any roller coaster.

This is probably something you consider when getting some plush toys as Christmas gifts for family and friends. After all, some of these people probably already have big collections of stuffed animals from their amusement park prizes. What’s the difference between an amusement park plush toy, and one that you can give as a gift? You’ll be surprised to hear that the difference is quite substantial, with the gift being the far nicer stuffed animal.

Here’s one example. The piles of stuffed animals you bring home end up stacked up in a closet somewhere, out of sight and out of mind. However, a stuffed toy that was a gift has much more meaning. It reminds us of the occasion when we received it, and the person who gave it to us. It’s a memory. We don’t put these plush toys in a closet somewhere to collect dust, because they are meaningful.

It’s also true that most stuffed animals from amusement parks are not high quality. After all, the people who run the games are trying to cut costs wherever they can! In fact, these plush animals are often very cheap looking, almost goofily so. But stuffed animals that are given as a gift, or even ones that we buy ourselves, are of much higher quality. They’re soft and fluffy and expertly made from higher quality materials, and they are more realistic. For example, take this story. I once won a plush cat at a carnival. I love cats, but was very disappointed once I got it. The stitching was loose, and by the time we got to the car the cat was already losing its shape. I fared much better with the stuffed cat my sister gave me that Christmas. It was of much higher quality, and very natural appearing, and I still have it to this day.

Plush toys are always good, but there is definitely a difference in quality available. Plus, stuffed animals given as gifts have a great deal more meaning than anything that you could win. It’s like the difference between giving a gift card and taking someone out yourself. Taking them out for a nice dinner and paying for it has so much more meaning than just sending them out by themselves. This way they will always remember the time they spent with you.

So remember, even if you know that someone already has a lot of stuffed animals, know that there is no such thing as too many plush toys. After all, they don’t have one from you!

PSP — or PlayStation Portable — is a mini, less weighter version of Sony’s PlayStation. It’s not as powerful as the PS2, but much more powerful than what the original PlayStation was.Built-in screen and speakers means you dont have other things to keep up with and to plug in.

As with the full-size PlayStation2, which has the ability toplay Cds and DVD as well as PlayStation games, the PSP is more than just a hand held gaming device. The PSP plays games in UMD ,which means Universal Media Disc format, but UMD format is also used for movies and other audio-visual content, and the PSP can pay those, too. And if that isn’t enough, the PSP can also play audio, video, and still image content off of Memory Sticks (Memory Stick Duo and Memory Stick Pro Duo are the compatible formats).

Unlike the PlayStation2 , the PSP comes equipped with Wi-Fi, so you can connect with other players wirelessly and, if your firmware is version 2.00 or higher, get online to browse the internet.Theres also an add-on camera and a GPS device for use with the PSP, giving it even more capabilities even further.

The Cost can be alittle bit of the draw back for some younger players,so a refurbished psp will do to begin with then later can be resold when enough money is saved for a new version. All in all the PSP that has been refurbished is every bit as good as a brand new one

Before buying a wooden porch swing, it’s important to make sure that the swing you are buying meets a number of important criteria. Here is a list of what you should look for in a swing, along with some reasons why it’s important.

Hand Made – A hand made swing is certainly a must when buying a porch swing. This is because each piece is individually crafted, ensuring better cuts and a smoother finish.

Cypress – Cypress has been called the “eternal wood” because of its ability to stand up to the elements. A cypress swing is as durable as teak, while being as little as one-tenth the price! Don’t buy a swing made from exotic woods only to watch it rot on your porch.

Size – Be sure that the porch swing you choose is the correct size to fit on your porch, and to fit the number of people you expect to be swinging on it.

Accessories – Would you like your swing to have a cup holder? An interesting question, perhaps, but certainly something to think about. What will you want with you while on your porch swing? Keep that in mind when looking at what’s available.

The Porch Swings I Love Most

Of course, I have a very strong preference in porch swings. There is one particular artisan who builds beautiful, durable porch swings from Cypress. His name is Ted Leger (pronounced Lay-shay), and he’s based in Louisiana (where a lot of cypress trees grow). All of his swings are hand made, and he can ship anywhere in the USA.

Visit our blog for more information on porch swings.

There are very few forex training courses on the market that actually deliver what they promise. Most just use rehashed old information and give methods that just do not work in the long run.

There are however a couple of forex training courses on the market that goes a long way in giving you what they promise.

The latest program that came out recently that can not be really be classified as a forex study course is FABTURBO forex Robot. It’s a forex signals service that gives buy and sell signals via a EA on your trader platform. You still trade with your normal trading software and your normal broker account. The robot does the trading for you and will work even while you sleep, as long as you keep your PC on. Get a full FAPTURBO review right here. This Robot works!

One of these is the well known forex mentor training program by Peter Bain. Not only do you get hours of DVD’s and studymaterial, but you get access to live forex transactions and coaching from the man himself. It is par none some of the best forex training on the Internet with hours of training on DVD and printed books. You even get access to the online version of the training materials when you buy so you do not have to wait for the hardcopy to arrive. I have written a full forex mentor review on my www.myforextraining.com web page.

The new kid on the block for exponents of forex training is the 10 Minute Forex study course. Not just training, but live ongoing support, interaction, training sessions, trader interaction and trade calls with their monthly membership system. It is one of the better products out there that continues to deliver long after you read the manual and watched the video. Did I say it comes with it’s own custom EA that can help with automated trade signals? You can watch a behind the scenes video of the backend private members section on my 10 Minute Forex Review page.

Almost everyone has experienced a temporary ringing in their ears due to a loud noise, or heard the rushing of their pulse in their head. For some people the ringing in their ears never goes away and can impact the quality of their life. Tinnitus is the term for ringing, roaring, buzzing, or other noise in the ears.

These noises do not emanate from outside but rather from the person’s ears and they may or may not be caused by a diagnosable problem. Lots of things can cause ringing of the ears, but some people never learn why they have the experience. Likewise, some people can find relief through tinnitus treatments and others cannot and are forced to deal with the noise permanently.

Diagnosable tinnitus are categorised into two major forms. Noise in the ears that is pulsatile, which sounds like the heartbeat, is usually caused by a physical problem with the muscles near the ear, damage to the ear canal, or vascular problems in the blood vessels near the ears. This type of tinnitus can be fixed if that damage that as occurred is healed or is fixed. When the injury to the ear is irreversible this type of tinnitus is permanent.

Non-pulsatile tinnitus is the classic ringing in the ears associated with tinnitus and can be ringing, buzzing, hissing, or similar sounds. Nerves are the cause of this type of tinnitus. Result in the constant noise in one or both ears, damaged or faulty nerves send impulses to the brain. This type of tinnitus can be hard to treat and is often permanent.

There are many known causes for tinnitus although not all sufferers are able to figure out the cause of their problem. Too much noise and exposure to loud environment are some reasons of hearing loss that tinnitus develops. There are many common causes like a build-up of earwax for causing tinnitus A build up of certain medicines including aspirin. Damage to the eardrum or inner ear structures or frequent ear infections. Pressure changes in the environment Vascular or blood flow problems in the head or neck. Head or neck injuries Damage or nerve disorder, or nerve issues. Aoustic Neuroma, Otosclerosis, or Thyroid disease, certain diseases such as.

It is not always necessary to seek medical attention for Tinnitus as it may heal on its own. Having tinnitus can sometimes be treated but also be a permanent illness.

Doing so usually requires treatment of some sort as well, but if is possible to live with ringing in the ears.

The data found here is for researching purposes only. No treatment is implied. As with any condition it is advisabale to talk with a doctor before taking any medical advice.

Sailing is a wonderful hobby. Those who have ever been sailing know that getting from point A to point B can be a challenge. There are many things to be considered.

Wind speed and wind direction are two of the main concerns. One can begin sailing from point A toward point B and have everything well under control based upon the current wind speed and wind direction. But wind speed and wind direction are not constants…they sometimes change. When that happens, the course must be corrected so that the boat will arrive at the desired destination.

What does this have to do with eliminating credit card debt?

The same thing is true about debt management and financial planning. The financial equivalent of getting from point A to point B isn’t based on wind speed and wind direction. It is based upon income generated in and income generated out. When either of those two factors changes a course, a correction must be effected so that the destination can be reached.  If you veer too far off course, you may need to eliminate credit card debt

If you are already sailing the financial sea with a plan (think budget), course adjustments will be much easier. If you have a budget, then you are in control of your financial boat and can see pretty easily what course adjustments need to be made and how to eliminate credit card debt when unusual circumstances arise and there is some kind of change in either income or out-go. If you know how to budget wisely, then you already have a built-in back-up system that will get you through the rough patch.

If you’ve been sailing the financial waters without a plan, then you will more likely be in deep trouble when there is a change in either income in flow or out flow. You will probably have to get some help from outside factors to control your financial boat. But once you do get control, you will definitely learn some important lessons and you will be better able to weather the next financial storm.

With soaring health costs, and many families finding themselves out of work, good health and parental knowledge about how to keep their families healthy is more important than ever!

Do you have anyone in your family that sufferes from high cholesterol? Do you know how to help them maintain healthy HDL?LDL cholesterol levels?

Here is some basic information about cholesterol.

Cholesterol is a lipid, which is a fatty substance. This lipid circulates in blood and is essential to many vital functions such as the Creation of cell walls nd certain hormones. When cholesterol levels are too high, atherosclerosis, the buildup of fatty deposits in artery walls, may develop, impeding blood flow and raising the risk of heart disease and stroke. Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) tends to deposit cholesterol on those arterial walls and is referred to as the “bad” cholesterol. High-density lipoprotein (HDL) is known as the “good” lipid because it extracts cholesterol from the artery walls and disposes of it through the liver.

A diet high in saturated fat is a contributing factor to dangerous LDL levels. High-cholesterol foods, such as liver and egg yolks, can also raise them. diabetes, liver, and kidney disorders, obesity, alcoholism, smoking, and stress are also related to high cholesterol.

Herbal Treatments

Black currants, guggul, kelp, and capsaicin, which is a component of hot red pepper (cayenne), have all been reported to aid in lowering cholesterol.

Food Power

Be a detective!  Avoid hard margarine, vegetable shortening and dairy products such as cheese, cream, and butter; they are typically high in saturated fats. There are certain brands that have no cholesterol, become a label reader!!

Stay away from fatty cookies, cakes, and pastries, which contain trans fatty acids. Also avoid chocolate made with saturated tropical oils, and fatty meats, such as heavily marbled beef, pork, lamb chops, hamburgers, bacon, frankfurters and salami. On the other hand, certain foods may lower cholesterol. They include whole-wheat, pumpernickel, rye, and multigrain breads and rolls, oranges, apples, pears, bananas, dried apricots, figs, and prunes, oatmeal and breakfast cereals that contain oat or rice bran, tofu, and other soy products, sweet corn, lima beans, kidney beans and other legumes.

Other Remedies

  • Be sure to exercise regularly; at least 30 to 40 minutes of sustained physical activity three or four time a week has been shown to significantly improve the balance of HDL/LDL cholesterol.
  • Lose weight. Obesity increases cholesterol levels, adds to the heart’s work load, and raises the risk of hypertension and diabetes. Losing even 10 or 15 pounds can lower LDL levels.
  •

Families who study basic health needs and develop healthy eating habits will enoy longer life, more energy, and even better sleep. Be informed, mom and dad! Be well.

    Search Engine Optimization

Sure, you can do Pay Per Click. (Got lotsa money? Ready to spend $2-$5-$10 for every visitor?)

Sure you can advertise in the Yellow Pages. (Really, who can afford that?)

You can do Radio and TV. (Ha! As if any of us can afford that)

You can go stand on a corner downtown and hand out cards with your website on them. (That’s probably as effective as those ideas mentioned above!)

    So, what do you do?

    Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization! That’s right. Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Time and time again, week after week, month after month, year after year… it always comes back to SEO.

Why SEO? Why search engine optimization? Because it works.

    Why does it work?

it works because, with your site properly optimized, you’re there when people are looking for you.

Perhaps you’re a plumber in Dallas. If you’ve done TV ads or radio ads, you have to hope that your ad comes on and the exact moment that someone’s pipes have burst or their toilet is backed up.

If not, that is if they don’t see a TV ad or hear a radio ad (remember, that they’ll hear yours only if you can afford the exorbidant amounts of money to afford such ads), what will they do?

Most likely they’ll go online, to Google, AOL, MSN or Yahoo to look for you.

Sure, they might go to the Yellow Pages. That is if they don’t mind how dirty their hands will be. And if they don’t mind trying to decide between 100 different plumbers. (Should I go with the one with the full page ads? They’re probably too expensive! How about one of these little ones? Who knows if they’re any good?

More and more, people are going to their favorite search engine.

They’ll go there and search for ‘plumber in Dallas’ or ‘Dallas plumber’ or ‘fix pipes in Dallas’.

    Search Engine Optimization

And, if your site is properly optimized, by a professional, and you come up on the first page of Google (or one of the other popular engines mentioned earlier), they may click on your site. Then, your site can sell them and, hopefully, get them to make the call!

You know how much better your site can sell them than whatever size of Yellow Page ad you can afford can sell them.

So, how do you find a good SEO company.

    Look for one:

    1. that has been in business for a long time (GSEP.COM has been in business since 1995)
    2. that you can trust (GSEP.COM is a member of the BBB and the BBBOnline).
    3. that spells out clearly what you’re buying. Some companies, many in fact, say things like “You’ll be happy with our service” or “We’ll do a great job” or “We’re the best”. GSEP.COM guarantees, in writing, as part of the contract, top 10 rankings in Google, MSN, Yahoo and AOL. Guaranteed. In writing.

Doesn’t GSEP.COM sound like who you need? Don’t they sound like they’re who you should contact for your search engine optimization needs?

They are. Visit the site and call them. You’ll be glad you did!

People block or hide their phone numbers from the people they call for a variety of reasons. Some of those are for legitimate, private, reasons, others block their numbers for mischievous reasons. Their numbers will show up as restricted or unavailable on your caller ID box, phone bill, and are listed the same way through your phone carrier. Many businesses, or Doctor’s offices will list their numbers as restricted so that their private numbers do not receive call backs, and when we receive phone calls of this nature, it is just fine. However when the blocked number is of a harassing, or annoying nature, and it is repeated, it would be great to be able to trace restricted numbers to put an end to these calls.

You do have a couple of options. If the calls are of a threatening nature, you need to get the police involved. They do have the power to directly trace the phone numbers. If the calls are coming from someone pulling pranks over and over, or from pushy telemarketers and salesmen, you can hire an agency quite similar to a private investigator. There are many online sites that let you post your request for help in tracing your restricted calls. After you have posted your request, you will receive bids from different consultants, or agencies. They will tell you how much the trace will cost and how many days they will require to complete the trace. Many of the bidders will have ratings and customer reviews for you to look at before you choose which bid you will accept. The bids ran anywhere from $300 – $1500 for the tracing of one restricted phone call.

You can also use the services of online sites such as reverse mobile.com, or using Reverse Phone Look up Directory like reverse phone detective.com to get the information you need. Some agencies charge a small fee, others offer free information up to a point, and then require a fee for additional information. Each phone number is supposed to be linked to a name and address, and potentially you may obtain this information through any of these sites.

A word of caution though, be careful which company you use, and be careful with the actions you take after you obtain your information. You don’t want to follow in the harasser’s footsteps and become a nuisance yourself, or step outside the confines of the law with any personal information you may receive.
