Recently I’ve had the chance to visit some of the great theme parks in Southern California. Between them all, you can immerse yourself in the world of a bunch of your favorite TV and movie characters.
We know where to find Mickey Mouse and all his Disney friends-in Anaheim. Your trip to Disneyland will be better if you do a little research at one of several great websites. Who doesn’t love the wonderful job Disney has done in creating a fictional universe of lovable characters?
A few miles down the road at Knott’s Berry Farm you’ll find all the Peanuts gang at Camp Snoopy. Charlie Brown, Linus and the others fit nicely into the personality of Knott’s Berry Farm.
Hit Universal Studios Hollywood and you can find Spiderman, Betty Boop, the Flintstones, Woody Woodpecker and a squadron of other beloved Universal characters that have been at the heart of many television shows and famous movies. Your visit to Universal Studios Hollywood will go a little smoother if you pick up some tips and advice first.
The final stop in the character caravan would be up I-5 an hour or so, to Six Flags Magic Mountain. It’s pretty common knowledge that Six Flags is particularly well known for its roller coasters. As soon as you get inside, you realize that the place is run by the Looney Tunes characters from the Warner Brothers cartoons.
You will find Yosemite Sam, Daffy Duck, Sylvester and the Roadrunner, some of whom hang out with the guests. To provide additional fun for small children, there is an area set aside for them, with a strong emphasis on the characters (not everybody wants to just hit the roller coasters). You won’t have to go too far to find a couple of the Looney Tunes folks here and there in the park.
