Would you ever consider drinking a glass of fat?

No, we are not crazy, neither is this a joke. Recent research has shown that having an easy take-away meal is the equivalent of drinking a good glass full of, you guessed it, pure dirty fat.

Ethnic meals might sound a good idea for dinner, yet each time you eat Chinese for example – a normal menu comprising crispy duck, chicken balls and also spring rolls – you’re eating much more than you would imagine. That equates to, actually, to just under 3,000 calories (a lot more than what the average man’s daily intake should be) or about 130 gr of fat.

You do not have to be a diet professional, a fitness trainer or even a boot camp expert to realise how incorrect that is. In Britain, it’s been determined that more than one in three people eat take-away meals at least twice per week. And while all the ectomorphes out there need not to worry, for the others that is probably not great news.

Take-away meals (or, at this point, should it just be called ‘junk food’) is actually fine for the sporadic treat, but it should not become a regular habit. Individuals who practice all sorts of sports and exercises are doing what’s right, but many of them are not aware of the fact that by eating the wrong type of food after practising, they’re just doing more damage than good.

Enjoy your green salad this evening. (And no sauce for you!)
